Our Story

We're Vic & Cole — high school sweethearts who met in ceramics class ten years ago and haven't looked back since.

What started in a classroom on Long Island turned into a decade of adventures together — building a life, exploring new places, and making memories both at home and far from it. Tuscany is one of those places. From the moment we first visited, we knew it was somewhere special.

We can't bring Oakley (trust us, we tried), but we're so excited that our favorite people get to share our love of travel and be together in one of the most beautiful places we've ever been.

This is a small wedding — just 40 of our closest friends and family — and that's exactly how we wanted it. The people who've been there for the last ten years, in a place we love, for a weekend we'll never forget.

Your Call

Swimsuits, cover-ups, linen, whatever's comfortable. It's a pool day.

Packing Tips

  • Late September in Tuscany means warm days (70s°F / 21–25°C) and cooler evenings (50s–60s°F / 12–18°C). Bring a jacket or wrap for after dark.
  • The venue is on a Tuscan estate — expect cobblestone and gravel paths. Plan your shoes accordingly.
  • Don't forget a swimsuit for Sunday (and any other pool time during the weekend).

Getting There

Before You Book

Your passport must have an expiration date in 2027 or later

Italy requires at least 6 months validity beyond your travel dates. If yours expires before 2027, start the renewal process now — not later.

Book Your Flights

Most guests will fly into Rome Fiumicino (FCO) — it has the most direct flights from the US and is about a 3-hour drive to the venue. Rome has two airports: Fiumicino (FCO) is the main international hub, while Ciampino (CIA) serves budget carriers and has fewer options from the States.

Flying from JFK, EWR, or LGA all work — search below to compare. Book early for the best fares, especially for late September when demand is high.

Airports

Borgo Stomennano is in the heart of Tuscany, between Florence and Siena. Three airports to choose from:

Airport Code Drive Time Best For
Florence FLR ~1 hr 15 min Closest & most convenient
Pisa PSA ~1 hr 45 min Good fares, solid middle ground
Rome Fiumicino FCO ~3 hrs Most flight options from the US

Rental Cars

A rental car is the way to go in Tuscany. Public transit is limited outside the cities, and rideshare isn't reliable near the venue.

  • Europcar — Often the best value in Italy
  • Sixt — Strong fleet, competitive pricing
  • Hertz / Avis / Enterprise — Available if you prefer loyalty points

Tips

  • Book automatic transmission — manual is the default in Europe
  • Go small. Roads in rural Tuscany are narrow and winding
  • Add a second driver if you're splitting driving duties
  • Book early. Late September in Tuscany is peak season

Money & Payments

Italy uses the Euro (€). Florence, Rome, and most of Tuscany have strong credit card adoption.

  • Bring at least one no-foreign-transaction-fee credit card (Visa or Mastercard preferred — Amex acceptance is spotty)
  • Carry €100–200 in cash for small towns, markets, and tips
  • Best exchange rates are at Italian bank ATMs (not airport exchange counters)

Road Tolls

Major highways charge tolls. Add a transponder at the rental counter, or use the credit card lane at toll plazas.

Passports & Documents

What You Need Where to Go Timeline
New passport (first time) In person at acceptance facility 6–10 weeks
Renewal (by mail) Mail to State Dept. 4–6 weeks
Renewal (online) State Dept. Online 4–6 weeks
Expedited (any method) Add $60 fee 2–3 weeks

Processing times don't include mailing time. Add up to 2 weeks each way for mail.

Global Entry & TSA PreCheck

This trip is a great reason to sign up for Global Entry ($120 for 5 years). Many premium credit cards reimburse the fee.

Where You'll Stay

Borgo Stomennano

3 Località Stomennano, Toscana 53035, Italy

This is where it all happens. Borgo Stomennano is a restored Tuscan estate surrounded by vineyards and olive groves — and it's both the wedding venue and where you'll be staying. No shuttling between a hotel and a separate venue. You'll wake up, walk outside, and already be there.

We're so excited to share this place with you.

Visit Borgo Stomennano

Casa Della Zia

A handful of guests will stay at Casa Della Zia, Borgo Stomennano's four-room holiday house in nearby Monteriggioni — a short drive from the main estate. It's a beautiful, private setting, and still very much part of the weekend experience. Transport between Casa Della Zia and the estate is being arranged; we'll share those details closer to the date.

View Casa Della Zia

Vic and Cole will assign bedrooms to all guests in advance. You'll receive your accommodation details before you arrive.

Room & Board

Reserving Your Room

$200 per room, per night

Rooms at the estate are a flat $200 per night, and that already includes the local Italian tourist tax. You'll only pay for the nights you actually stay.

Once you've RSVP'd, we'll send your room assignment along with a simple link to reserve it. You can settle your room in advance below, or pay cash to Cole & Vic at check-in.

FAQ

Most guests will fly from New York into Florence (1h 15m drive), Pisa (1h 45m drive), or Rome (3h drive). Florence is the most convenient. See our Travel section for flight search tools and airport details.

Yes — and it must have an expiration date in 2027 or later. If yours is expired or expiring soon, start the renewal process now. See our Travel section for passport renewal resources.

No. US citizens don't need a visa for stays under 90 days. However, the EU may require a new online authorization called ETIAS by late 2026 — we'll keep everyone updated.

Shuttles will be arranged for group events and excursions, with details shared closer to the date. However, if you plan on exploring the area on your own, we highly recommend renting a car! You're more than welcome to coordinate group travel and share cars with other guests. Check out rental car options in our Travel section.

Check the What to Wear section for event dress codes. Beyond that, pack for warm days and cool evenings, bring a swimsuit, and don't forget a power adapter.

Late September in Tuscany is gorgeous — warm days and cooler evenings. A light jacket or wrap for the evenings is a good idea.

Typical Late September Weather in Siena

Yes. Italy uses Type L and Type C plugs (220V). US plugs won't fit without an adapter — grab a universal travel adapter before you go.

Rental car. Public transit is limited outside the cities, and rideshare apps aren't reliable near the venue. See rental car options in our Travel section.

Rooms at the estate are a flat $200 per night, including the local Italian tourist tax — and you only pay for the nights you stay. Once you've RSVP'd, we'll send your room assignment and a link to reserve it. You can pay in advance, or settle up in cash at check-in. See Where You'll Stay for details.

Yes. Guests park at the top of the cypress alley — cars aren't permitted down at the Villa gate. It's a short, scenic walk in from the parking area.

Check-in is after 4:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:30 AM. If your travel plans need a little flexibility, let us know and we'll do our best to help.

Our celebration is mostly a grown-ups' affair, but we're happy to welcome little ones who need to join. The estate asks that children under 14 be supervised at all times, stay in the farmhouse rooms (not the main Villa), and skip the Villa's first floor and antique pool. The farmhouse Infinity pool is open to them with an adult. Have questions about your family's plans? Just reach out — we're happy to help.

A few notes to help you plan. Ground-floor rooms are available and have been set aside for guests who need them — if that's you, just let us know. The estate is a historic Tuscan property, so expect uneven terrain and gravel paths. There are also unfenced fountains, terraces, and an antique pool with no lifeguard on duty, so please watch your step and keep an eye on little ones, especially after dark.

Please note any dietary restrictions or allergies in your Zola RSVP, or email us at vc@demarco2026.com. We pass everything along to our caterer so each guest is taken care of.

Email us at vc@demarco2026.com for travel coordination, RSVPs, questions, or just to tell us you're excited.
